Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government would be interested in discussing removal of the long-term capital gains tax during Budget consultations. Speaking at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in New Delhi, she said investors are questioning equity taxation and that the discussion also covers securities transaction tax.
