The National Highways Authority of India will empanel experts from IITs, government technical institutions and other reputed organisations to independently verify designs, drawings and hydrological or hydraulic studies for critical highway structures. Officials said the authority has also prepared detailed guidelines covering the proof-checking process, timelines and applicability.
