Police filed an FIR against Congress MLA Jignesh Mevani and seven others for allegedly obstructing an inspector, causing a commotion inside Pethapur police station and trying to incite communal tensions during the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation election campaign. The incident allegedly happened on October 8 after Yunus Parmar was called in for questioning.
