Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay laid the foundation stone in Chennai’s Sholinganallur for the Rs 3,108.55 crore Ring Main Project under Greater Chennai Corporation areas. The project is meant to help meet Chennai’s daily drinking water demand of 91 lakh residents. Chennai currently receives 1,260 MLD through 143 distribution stations.
