BJP women MPs are set to protest outside the Congress headquarters in New Delhi on Monday at 11 AM over the controversy surrounding Congress MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam. The protest follows Jawaharlal Nehru University’s decision to dismiss Akoijam from his position as a professor after an internal inquiry into sexual harassment allegations. Akoijam has denied the allegations and described the action against him as politically motivated. The BJP is questioning Congress leadership, including Rahul Gandhi, over what it calls the party’s silence and demanding accountability. The planned demonstration comes amid opposition protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, setting the stage for a politically charged day in Delhi.
