Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced plans for 50,000 CCTV cameras across Delhi to improve security. The proposal also includes smart streetlights linked to an Integrated Command and Control System and annual maintenance contracts for upkeep. Gupta linked the move to women’s safety concerns raised by Delhi University students.
