Chennai inaugurated the Poonamallee Bypass–Vadapalani elevated Metro corridor on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The 15-km stretch on Corridor 4 of Phase 2 has 11 stations and was built for around Rs 4,900 crore. It is expected to improve travel across Chennai’s western suburbs.
