The United Arab Emirates has agreed to resume payments to some Yemeni government forces fighting the Iran-backed Houthis in the south. Saudi Arabia will provide air cover for the anti-Houthi force. The arrangement marks the first tangible sign of a thaw in the countries' Yemen rift.
