Delhi Police detained Ankita Bhandari’s parents near India Gate around 4 am on Thursday as they protested Dushyant Kumar Gautam’s appointment as Sikkim governor. They were released around 5 am after a sit-in. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also met the family at the protest site.
