Murugan resigned as the Tamil Nadu BJP chief and said in his letter that he wanted to prepare the party for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. The Dalit leader also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Tamil outreach, citing Sitharaman, Jaishankar, Thirukkural and Sengol.
