Two workers died of asphyxiation while repairing a submerged motor inside a nearly 20-foot-deep well in Thendral Nagar, Kodungaiyur, on Monday afternoon. The well is linked to Chennai’s stormwater drain network. Corporation sources said sewage may have entered the drains through illegal connections.
