Chennai’s Metropolitan Transport Corporation first cancelled a tender to procure 1,000 electric buses on October 14, citing administrative reasons. The next day, the corporation said the cancellation notice had been issued inadvertently and the tendering process would continue, after PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss questioned the decision.
