India dismissed US Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal’s remarks on the Election Commission’s voter roll revision as unwarranted and uninformed. The Ministry of External Affairs said the comments interfered with India’s democratic practices, and Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra also called the allegations unacceptable interference.
