Markets and shops stayed shut in several places in Punjab on Thursday, October 15, after the killing of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota. Schools in Ferozepur shifted classes online or cancelled activities as the state-wide bandh spread to Amritsar, Mansa, Barnala and Ferozepur.
