Hyderabad DRI officials seized 5.83 kg of foreign-origin gold worth Rs 8.98 crore from a car travelling from Kolkata to Hyderabad. They intercepted the vehicle at Visakhapatnam after heightened surveillance on the national highway and found the gold hidden in a specially fabricated cavity. Two passengers were in the car.
