Australia’s highest court has ruled that Rachel Smith, a Queensland drug trafficker serving a 10-year sentence, may extract and store her eggs while behind bars. The court said the procedure is not assisted reproductive technology, handing Smith a successful appeal over her fertility rights in prison.
