The National Human Rights Commission in Chennai registered a complaint over alleged health and human rights impacts from the 50-metric-tonne waste incinerator plant in Kodungaiyur. The move followed a field study by the Federation of North Chennai Residents' Welfare Associations covering 415 families across eight residential areas in Perambur and Radhakrishnan Nagar constituencies.
