A speeding Mini Cooper rammed a scooter carrying 21-year-old Gopika and two colleagues near the Athani signal, close to Kochi airport, early Sunday in Palakkad. The crash shattered the hopes of the autorickshaw driver’s family, which had looked to her education and career for a better future.
