Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy proposed cutting government employees’ service tenure from 35 years to 10 to 20 years during an interaction in Bengaluru on Friday. He said the idea could create more jobs, help one government job reach every family, and still ensure pensions and other benefits for retiring employees.
