Delhi residents of Narmada, Saraswati, Ganga and Yamuna societies in Vasant Kunj protested Delhi Development Authority plans for more shopping centres on green land. They said existing facilities are largely unused and questioned the need for new development. The residents also approached the Delhi High Court over the plan.
