A man from Puttur taluk in Karnataka lost Rs 1.31 crore after cyber fraudsters posing as Mumbai Police and ATS officials trapped him in a digital arrest scam. They used WhatsApp video calls, falsely linked him to the Pahalgam massacre, and pressured him to transfer money through RTGS to multiple accounts.
