Justin Bernstein, a 17-year-old from Greenwich, Connecticut, was named a 2025 Davidson Fellow in the science category and received a $50,000 scholarship. His project studies engineered bacteria designed to produce reflective silica, a possible way to help glaciers absorb less solar energy and slow Arctic ice melt.
