The National Medical Commission said Registered Medical Practitioners may remotely review and authenticate lab reports, discharge summaries and other electronic clinical documents using digital signatures. It said the practice is allowed only after the doctor reviews the relevant clinical information, records and investigations and uses independent professional judgment.
