YSR Congress Party leaders said the party would stay away from Punganur Municipality elections after failing to file nominations, citing alleged obstruction and violence during the process. Former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said he sought Andhra Pradesh High Court directions to allow nomination filing.
