Chennai’s first northeast monsoon showers exposed incomplete stormwater drain work and deteriorating roads across the city. Residents, activists and ward councillors raised concerns at sites including Bricklin Road in Purasaiwalkam, the East Avenue Road–CTH Road junction, Padi, Arcot Road, SVS Nagar and Virugambakkam.
