Ethiopian government forces entered and seized Adwa, a strategic town in Ethiopia’s Tigray region near the Eritrea border, witnesses and local reports said. The move came as clashes with the Tigray People’s Liberation Front eased, while Ethiopian Airlines also resumed flights to Mekelle, Tigray’s capital.
