Chennai’s Regional Meteorological Centre said conditions are favourable for the northeast monsoon to begin over the southern Peninsula within two to three days. It linked the outlook to twin upper-air cyclonic circulations over the south Andaman Sea, south Tamil Nadu coast and Gulf of Mannar, with isolated rain on Tuesday.
