Disability rights organisations in Bengaluru criticised the Centre’s move to raise the monthly disability pension from Rs 300 to Rs 375. They called the increase inadequate and demanded a minimum pension of Rs 5,000, along with higher support for senior citizens and widows, wider coverage and inflation-linked revisions.
