In Bengaluru, two cousins lost Rs 1 lakh after a fraudster posing as a Greater Bengaluru Authority assistant revenue officer promised them subsidised cars under a civic welfare scheme. The accused allegedly used false assurances of vehicle allotment to cheat them.
