Delhi is on high alert as the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) planned protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar triggers a major security deployment across the national capital. Around 40,000 Delhi Police and central security personnel have reportedly been deployed, while YouTuber Dhruv Rathee and several CJP leaders, including Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, were reportedly detained ahead of the demonstration. CJP legal team head Ratna Singh and policy head Mehr were also reported to be among those detained. CPI(M) leaders Brinda Karat and K.K. Shailaja were reportedly detained while marching towards Jantar Mantar, as security forces took action against protesters and content creators in areas including Dhaula Kuan.
