A soybean farmer from Dharashiv district sent a ₹5,000 money order to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, protesting the state’s interim relief for drought-hit farmers. Fadnavis had announced ₹5,000 deposits ahead of Diwali after over 85% of Maharashtra’s talukas were declared drought-hit, and 40 more talukas were added to the list.
