Chennai’s Metropolitan Transport Corporation revoked its cancellation of the tender to procure 1,000 air-conditioned e-buses a day after withdrawing it. The agency has set bid opening for November 4. The tender, floated in March 2026 under the Gross Cost Contract model, is part of a plan for 1,520 electric buses in the city.
