Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi formed a seven-member high-level committee late Sunday to engage with students on their demands and examine the ongoing protest. The move came on the seventh day of a hunger strike seeking restoration of the students’ union, after Congress MP John Brittas urged the university to act.
