Joseph Vijay joined PM Modi for the inauguration, with both leaders flagging off services and taking a ride on the new Metro stretch. The new corridor features a 3.7-kilometre double-decker structure and is expected to improve connectivity between Chennai’s western suburbs and the city centre.
