Chennai's Greater Chennai Corporation has moved 26 homeless families from pavements in Chepauk and beneath the Peters Road flyover into a GCC-run shelter at Anna Square. The shift comes after 30 temporary accommodation units for homeless families were completed at Marina, giving the families a secure place to stay ahead of the monsoon.
