A two-judge Supreme Court bench began hearing pleas in New Delhi on Sunday over Delhi Police’s crackdown on protesters during the Cockroach Janta Party demonstration on October 10. Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana heard challenges to detentions by police and paramilitary forces, plus a contempt petition alleging wilful disobedience of court directions.
