Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka and Ajinkya Shinde were detained by Delhi Police on Tuesday, October 13, after attempting to reach Jantar Mantar to reclaim the protest site. The detentions came a day after Delhi Police de-notified Jantar Mantar as a designated venue for protests and demonstrations, naming Ramlila Ground, Burari Ground and CBD Ground as alternative sites. Saurav Das declared on social media that Jantar Mantar had been reclaimed, while CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke asserted that the right to protest could not be taken away by de-notifying the venue.
