Russian authorities arrested Yuki Imai, a journalist for Hokkaido Shimbun, on Sakhalin and accused him of espionage. The FSB said he was collecting information about Russia’s defence capabilities, while foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova identified him and said he faced espionage allegations on Russian territory.
