Chennai waterlogging in several parts after heavy rainfall over a short period on Saturday was addressed promptly, Tamil Nadu Minorities Welfare Minister AM Shahjahan said in Tirunelveli on Sunday. He said precautionary measures are underway to reduce the impact of the northeast monsoon, which experts expect could bring heavy rain in short bursts.
