Southern Railway has invited fresh tenders for the third and fourth railway lines on the 23-km Athipattu-Gummidipummi stretch in Chennai’s North Eastern suburban network. The project cost has risen by Rs 70.56 crore to Rs 356.16 crore after the earlier Rs 285.6 crore tender could not be finalised.
