Guwahati is hosting more than 500 public and private Durga Puja celebrations this year, with pandals built around temples, mythology, nature, industry and social issues. One display resembles a coal mine, another a jungle, and a third is inspired by Thailand’s museum architecture. Maha Saptami rituals are scheduled for Sunday, October 18.
