Community members ended a weeks-long dharna in Jammu and Kashmir after Shammi Oberoi, the first Sikh Rajya Sabha member from Kashmir, assured them on Thursday that the government may move a Bill to include Punjabi as an official language. The protest had been pressing for that demand.
