The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court issued notice to the Tamil Nadu government on a PIL seeking directions to prevent delays in paddy procurement at direct procurement centres across the state. The plea alleges irregularities, inadequate storage and farmers leaving paddy bags outside centres.
